The Income Reset: What Happened Next

When I wrote The Income Reset, I was documenting what it looked like to adjust after going from a $153,000 salary to a much smaller income. The book is about the decisions, savings strategies, and mindset shifts that helped me get through that transition.

But life didn't stop when the book ended.

I'm still making decisions, learning new lessons, finding ways to save, and figuring out what comes next. This blog is where I'll share that part of the journey - the things that happened after the final page was written.

Where I Am Now

A lot has happened since I finished writing The Income Reset. I'm working an additional part-time job, building my shop, exploring new ways to earn additional income, and continuing to be more intentional about how I spend and save. I'm also learning that a financial reset doesn't end with the first big changes - it continues to evolve as life does.

One of the biggest changes is that the book is now published. Seeing something that started as my own personal experience become something other people can read has been exciting - and surreal. I'm still very early in that journey, but every sale, every review, and every encouraging message reminds me why I decided to share my story in the first place.

One of the hardest adjustments for me has been cooking more at home. I had gotten so used to ordering takeout that cooking regularly again felt like a bigger change than I expected. What has helped is reminding myself how much money I can save by preparing meals at home and trying to keep things simple rather than feeling like every meal has to be complicated.
